Spring mood

Sweet Disposition, The Temper Trap

Spring is almost gone in Australia. And I wanted to end this beautiful season with one of my favourite outfit.

bought this little blue navy dress from Forever New about 9 months ago for a wedding. I love it as it marks my waste quite nicely. I like to dress it up a bit more with one of my favourite bow belt from Alannah Hill.

As it’s not very hot yet, I can still wear a small cardigan without boiling. I bought this little white “gilet” from a Vintage shop in Perth. I like the delicate embroidery and the little buttons give it such a cute look.

My shoes are from Topshop. As many of you do, I love this shop. It recently opened in Perth, not far from my work, and when I saw those adorable shoes, I had to go home with them. They are very shiny and that’s what I like the most about them. They have a very old school look which reminds me of the kind of shoes my mum used to buy me when I was a little girl.

Finally, to protect my blue eyes from the sun, I like to wear my new pair of sunglasses from Dot Shades, Pool Party collection.

Now I am off for a cup of tea and the new episode of New Girl. Zoey Deschanel is my inspiration.

Sunny walk on the beach.

Northern Wind, City and Colour.

These past weekends Tom and I have been so busy that we really enjoyed having a bit of a quiet time just the two of us this weekend.

On Saturday morning we went to our gym for two hours. I have been swimming everyday for 5 days now and I really enjoy it. It’s such a relaxing way to tone your body. Then in the afternoon we decided to take Charlie for a walk on the beach. Our pup was so happy to get out of the house and see his friends at the dog beach. Life is sweet when the sun is out and I have my husband by my side to have a nice walk, toes in the sand.
Sunday came with its warm summery temperature: 36 degrees. I felt like I was melting away. But I know by experience that it’s nothing compare to the temperature we will experience during summer. On Sunday afternoon I was invited to a baby shower to celebrate the future baby boy of one of my friends. So I decided to wear the dress Tom bought me for my birthday as I never wore it before. It’s a simple little black dress from Forever New and I absolutely love it! It became one of my favorite pieces from my closet. I added to my outfit my new strappy hat from the same shop and my Melissa ballerinas.

I really look forward to next weekend as we have to go to a wedding on Saturday and I loooove weddings! I still need to find a dress for the occasion.
I hope everyone had a good weekend and will have a good week.

À bientôt.

Presentation.

Technicolor Girls, Death Cab for Cutie.

One thing you have to know about me is that I always listen music. On the street, at work, on the train, in the shower, in bed… Death Cab for Cutie is one of my ultimate favourite bands. I love the melancholy is their songs. And Technicolor Girls is what’s in my ears at this very moment. Now the song is over. Here comes Summer Skin. Another great song from them.
Back to something more general. My name is Céleste Bonneau married Knight. I am 23 years old and I am happily married to my very best friend, the love of my life, Thomas. Tom is my better half. A real inspiration for me. I admire his determination in life and I am so lucky and blessed to have him by my side everyday. The song of our wedding is playing now. Still from Death Cab for Cutie. I will follow you into the dark. A magical song. We got married on the 5th of April 2014. We share the love of music together and It’s Tom who made me discover the band which will become our favourite.
We are living in Australia but I am not from the island down under. I am French and I spent all my life in France. Tom and I met in London when we were both living there and after a lot of travel (that I will probably explain more in details another time), we finally moved to Perth, Western Australia, where Tom is originally from.

I have a degree in Journalism but I am currently working in a Software Company, as part of the marketing division. I wish I could find a job related to my studies as I miss writing and investigating but time is hard for everyone and I am very lucky to have such a good job already and have the chance to work with lovely people. I enjoy my job and I hope filling my writing ambition with this blog.
Writing that kind of content in English is also new for me, so please excuse my French!
My husband and I have adopted a Labrador puppy 4 months after being married, in July. His name is Charlie and he is now 5 months. He is clearly our favourite fluffy ball and he is absolutely adorable. As we love to joke with Tom, if we can keep a dog alive then we can think about having a baby! You will probably see a lot of Charlie’s adventures on this blog as he is part of our family.

Speaking of witch, I don’t have my family in Australia. But I am very blessed to have found here another one. Tom’s family has always been by my side from the very first step I made on this big island and I am very lucky to have them in my life. I only have one big brother and Tom has five brothers and three sisters. So it was quite a change for me to arrive in such a huge family. But I absolutely love it and it’s so much fun when we all get together.
think I have told enough for a first “real” post. I hope you will enjoy reading what I have to say on this blog. It won’t be anything more or less than my adventures in life as a little French wife in Australia.

À bientôt.

Bonjour.

Manhattan, Kings of Leon.

Why Manhattan? Because it’s the song I am listening to when I am writing those lines. And because it’s also where I would like to go some day.

I have been really unsure about creating a blog. I had one when I was a teenager but that doesn’t really count, does it?

Maybe nobody will ever read me. But it doesn’t matter. I will use this blog like a journal. A diary for my own peace of mind.

I miss writing. I used to write all the time. So now that I’m back at it, I will try my best.
I don’t promise a new post every day. But I promise that this blog will be full of stories, cute outfits, recipes, fitness journey, love, puppy and photos.

Should I do my presentation now?
Not now. You are already bored.
