Technicolor Girls, Death Cab for Cutie.
One thing you have to know about me is that I always listen music. On the street, at work, on the train, in the shower, in bed… Death Cab for Cutie is one of my ultimate favourite bands. I love the melancholy is their songs. And Technicolor Girls is what’s in my ears at this very moment. Now the song is over. Here comes Summer Skin. Another great song from them.
Back to something more general. My name is Céleste Bonneau married Knight. I am 23 years old and I am happily married to my very best friend, the love of my life, Thomas. Tom is my better half. A real inspiration for me. I admire his determination in life and I am so lucky and blessed to have him by my side everyday. The song of our wedding is playing now. Still from Death Cab for Cutie. I will follow you into the dark. A magical song. We got married on the 5th of April 2014. We share the love of music together and It’s Tom who made me discover the band which will become our favourite.
We are living in Australia but I am not from the island down under. I am French and I spent all my life in France. Tom and I met in London when we were both living there and after a lot of travel (that I will probably explain more in details another time), we finally moved to Perth, Western Australia, where Tom is originally from.
I have a degree in Journalism but I am currently working in a Software Company, as part of the marketing division. I wish I could find a job related to my studies as I miss writing and investigating but time is hard for everyone and I am very lucky to have such a good job already and have the chance to work with lovely people. I enjoy my job and I hope filling my writing ambition with this blog.
Writing that kind of content in English is also new for me, so please excuse my French!
My husband and I have adopted a Labrador puppy 4 months after being married, in July. His name is Charlie and he is now 5 months. He is clearly our favourite fluffy ball and he is absolutely adorable. As we love to joke with Tom, if we can keep a dog alive then we can think about having a baby! You will probably see a lot of Charlie’s adventures on this blog as he is part of our family.
Speaking of witch, I don’t have my family in Australia. But I am very blessed to have found here another one. Tom’s family has always been by my side from the very first step I made on this big island and I am very lucky to have them in my life. I only have one big brother and Tom has five brothers and three sisters. So it was quite a change for me to arrive in such a huge family. But I absolutely love it and it’s so much fun when we all get together.
I think I have told enough for a first “real” post. I hope you will enjoy reading what I have to say on this blog. It won’t be anything more or less than my adventures in life as a little French wife in Australia.
À bientôt.
